ENGLISH GARDEN TOURS (EGT1)

THE SEA GARDENS OF CORNWALL

Sunday 19 April- Saturday 25 April 2009

The first English Garden Tours to Cornwall offers exceptional variety.

The valleys and islands of the Cornish peninsula contain some of the finest plantsmen's gardens in Europe. Tresco Abbey, in the Isles of Scilly, is world famous for its sub-tropical botanical garden. The valleys of Trebah and Glendurgan, like The Lost Gardens of Heligan, are rich in rare trees and rhododendrons, tree ferns and palms creating dramatic gardens to explore through changing levels and panoramas. In St Ives the Hepworth Sculpture Garden and Tate Gallery are rich cultural experiences connecting art with the sea. Each garden has its own microclimate and horticultural treasure and demonstrates the success of Victorian plant hunting expeditions and modern hybridisation. Together with the Eden Project, they make an unforgettable holiday for plant lovers from all over the world.
